Parkland Motels II

This hotel is not as new as others in town, but the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I stayed in a room with a kitchenette and it was excellent. If you need anything, you just ask at the desk and staff kindly accommodate requests.

Nice big clean rooms. Priced right. Wonderful beds. At door parking which I love. Only negative was the parking area is so well lighted by the rooms they need blackout curtains. Will stay here again when in the area.

Friendly people at front desk. Only problem is no utensils for eating. No continental breakfast either, which was a letdown. Cleaners have the bad habit of knocking on door, then immediately entering rooms without having a chance to respond. Being half asleep, I yelled "GET OUT" thinking it was some random. Otherwise, I try to be polite whenever fully awake lol. It gets pretty noisy outside the rooms on the weekend I notice.

Heated floors, clean rooms, friendly staff, pet friendly.

Good value for money. This is an older motel, the kind with the heat lamps in the bathroom and dated fixtures but it was clean and good value for money. The front desk is staffed 24 hours per day and there's a nice lounge to watch a hockey game or read the paper if you want to just get out of your room. You will hear the train but it's not that bad. Easy access to Lac La Biche and services. There are two Parkland hotels and we stayed at the one on the south side of town.

We were evacuated out of our town due to wild fires, the hotel helped over 200 ppl get settled and made it alot less stressful. Thank you to the staff who were there to help.

The rooms are fine. The smell is a little off putting but the rooms are large. Front desk lady questioned me about my service dog even though I have a card for him. Asking if it was an actual service dog or if I was lying cause according to her people lie all the time about it. Then was asked what it he was a service dog for, its illegal to ask me questions like that if I have a card and its non of your business The man who works overnights is extremely misserable and very unprofessional. When telling him about a bug infestation behind my fridge. I was given a bunch of attitude and then basically hung up on after telling me house keeping would deal with it. When I talked to housekeeping the next day. No one mentioned anything to them. The house keeping staff are the nicest

We were in town to deal with the death of my friends dad. The ladies were very friendly and super helpful. At -40° my car would not start. They let me use their extension cord so we could get back to doing the running around we needed to get done. Super clean room.
